SNSD refuses to admit that they are less popular than KARA in Japan.
On November 9 episode of Radio Star, a special episode for musical actors like Park Hae Mi, Im Tae Kyung, SNSD members Tiffany, Taeyeon and Jessica appeared as guests.
In the previous episode, KARA also made an appearance and mentioned that they are more popular than SNSD in Japan. SNSD members responded to this.
One of the MC asked, "Do you agree with this?" Tiffany answered, "It depends. We also made appearance in the shows that KARA has appeared. So we are good also."Link
